We then moved south to the Lacepedes Islands named by Baudin after a French naturalist. The islands host large colonies of sea birds mainly brown boobies and roseate terns, and are a major breeding ground for green turtles. We spent a couple of hours on a Zodiac in the calm waters amid many colonies of a wide variety of birds.
