Our flight group was first bussed to Kununurra for lunch at the historic pumping station on Lake Kununurra now a restaurant. Lake Kununurra is essentially the spillway from Lake Argyle kept at a constant level to feed the main M1 irrigation channel that supports 40,000 hectares of arable farming in the Ord River Scheme.
