We left The Ghan which was late into Darwin and stayed at the Travelodge. The next day we were up early to join a bus tour to Litchfield National Park the land of the termites and water holes.

We moved on to Florence Falls with great vistas of the falls and plains from the lookout.

It was here at the Falls, about halfway through the walk that Marian's leg muscles suffered a problem, probably due to dehydration. Fortunately RAAF Battle Commander Darryn, recently participating in the 20-nation Exercise Pitch Black, kindly took Marian's other arm as we helped her slowly back to the bus. Our driver guide Mel bandaged Marian's leg.
