From the shelter of Shark Bay the ship made the best speed for Fremantle to arrive at the day and time originally planned. This meant a course directly south with a quartering SW swell that exceeded 5 m at times with 40 knot winds. We were not affected except that moving about the ship was difficult as it rolled a lot despite the stabilisers.
Despite a good proportion of the crew fairly sick the main bars and restaurants kept functioning as normal. We had the usual captain’s farewell with the main crew and the expedition team recap and farewell plus the voyage video to watch.
